Program Overview
When the Dithva cyclone struck Sri Lanka, it left millions of people facing disruptions to their daily lives. Entire communities were struggling with limited access to essential resources, especially clean drinking water. In moments like this, volunteering becomes more than an act of kindness, it becomes a duty. Our Rotravelgo team rose together with Sri Lankans during this challenging time. Understanding that the most urgent need was safe drinking water, we travelled to a water bottling facility in Polgasowita. There, we worked side by side with the factory workers to fill, pack, and prepare water bottles for delivery to the designated distribution points.
